How Stella Learned to Talk by Christina Hunger

This true story is about a speech pathologist who decided to teach her dog to use an AAC device and communicate using words. This is a fascinating concept with a fun story behind it. Stella did learn to use the word buttons but she went far beyond what Ms. Hunger expected. Enjoyable read.

Go as a River by Shelley Read
is beautifully written and contained awesome descriptions of life’s struggles, lost love, as well as, found love. It’s as good a book as I have ever read. Enjoy!

The Man She Married by Cathy Lamb
Following a car accident, a woman is in a coma but can hear everything that is being said in her presence. She remembers that she has a loving husband and a good marriage, but judging from the phone calls that her husband is receiving, he is hiding something.  When she finally awakens from the coma, she is determined to find out the truth. But will her marriage survive?

I liked this book because there was humor as well as serious situations.  The reader can tell that her husband is a good person who really loves her, and you find yourself hoping that there is a good resolution to their troubles.
