Databases put resources at your fingertips

Your Red River County Public Library card gives you free access to a world of information through our TexShare Databases. You have access to more than 27,000 journals, more than 171,000 ebooks, and more than 15 million images, videos, and interactive resources.

There are databases on: genealogy and history, general reference, health and medicine, science and technology and resources for K-12, legal and literature. Academic Search Complete is a comprehensive resource of full-text academic journals, videos, reports and books on dozens of subjects ranging from anthropology, chemistry and culture to law, women studies and zoology.

Credo Complete Core Collection is an easy-to-use tool for research, homework and other reference needs. Gather background information on your topic from more than 1,000 full-text encyclopedias, subject handbooks and current events resources, as well as more than 500,000-plus images and audio files and more than 1,000 videos. represents the most authoritative automotive repair information available to car owners. There are thousands of year, make and model combinations covering the most popular vehicles of the past 30 years, plus additional coverage of specialty.

HeritageQuest Online combines digital, searchable images of U.S. federal census records with the digitized version of the popular ProQuest Genealogy & Local History collection and other valuable content. Powered by Ancestry with more than 4.4 billion records and coverage dating back to the 1700s.

Opposing Viewpoints in Context is an engaging online experience for those seeking contextual information and opinions on hundreds of today's hottest social issues. Topic overviews, full-text magazines, academic journals, news articles, primary source documents, statistics, images, videos and audio files.

The SciTech Premium Collection includes the National Science Collection and the Technology Collection and provides full-text titles from around the world, including scholarly journals, trade and industry journals, magazines, technical reports, conference proceedings, government publications and more.
